Podtours of Spain
Your personal sightseeing guide
We currently have two audio tours of Barcelona available. One focuses on the medieval city, visiting the cathedral and the palace of the Counts of Barcelona - who eventually became Kings of Spain.
The other Barcelona podtour™ concentrates on the 'modernisme' architecture of Barcelona, particularly the work of Antonio Gaudi. Gaudi is well known - but we set him in the context of other architects working in the same eclectic style, such as Domenech i Montaner and Puig i Cadafalch.
If you're planning a weekend in Barcelona we recommend taking both these tours to see two very different sides of the city.
Toledo - spiritual centre of Spain. Our tour focuses on the three-faith heritage of the city, which retains two synagogues, a mosque , and a fine medieval cathedral, as well as exploring the works of El Greco, the painter who made Toledo his home.
Salamanca - a city of golden stone and fine Renaissance buildings, including Spain's oldest university (a rival to Oxford and Cambridge in its time) and one of the latest Gothic cathedrals ever built.
Segovia - a city with fine Romanesque churches, Renaissance palaces, and one of the finest royal castles in Spain.
Seville - the capital of Andalusia has a rich Arab heritage, but it was the wealth of South America and the Indies that gave Seville its fine Gothic cathedral and baroque churches.
